Compiled ByJonathan Katz Austin-based BPA Systems, a provider of e-fulfillment solutions, announced that Doskocil Manufacturing, an injection-molding and manufacturing company also based in Austin, has implemented the company's supply-chain execution software solution, BP-LINK/SC. The software will automate Doskocil's entire order cycle, from the time raw materials are received into the warehouse until finished goods are shipped out to customers. Doskocil has been using the Warehouse Management module of the program to direct warehouse employees to the appropriate warehouse shelf locations for guided picking and shelving of goods. "We needed a supply-chain-execution solution that would allow us to improve our efficiency and match a very aggressive Oracle implementation," says Jeff Black, vice president of fulfillment at Doskocil. "We chose BPA Systems because of their products' Oracle extension architecture, and we have been delighted with the automation capabilities and increased functionality that BP-LINK/SC brings to our overall system."
