An Andersen Consulting survey of more than 1,700 CEOs, CFOs, and CIOs has found that 71% of senior executives use the Internet at least once a week. However, only 36% "feel comfortable" doing so. Senior government officials are more comfortable with the Web (45%) than business executives in all fields (35%). Japanese senior executives, compared with their peers in the world's leading economies, have the least access to the Internet. U.S. corporate executives are the most connected to the Web, followed by executives in Canada, France, and the U.K.

U.S. business leaders use email the most, followed by their peers in Spain and Australia. German executives are least inclined to send email. U.S. senior executives also use the Internet the most to track their personal financial investments.

Andersen's survey included executives from 1,000 of the world's largest companies and included 22 countries.
