For companies whose products must comply with environmental regulations, Synapsis Technology Inc.'s Environmental Materials Aggregation and Reporting System (EMARS) offers an environmental compliance management solution. The solution manages, aggregates and reports on substances of environmental concern, says Synapsis. The solution, which can validate against many specifications via its validation engine Compliance Checker, supports RosettaNet XML, IMDS and Compliance Connect protocols for receiving and sending material content declarations, according to the Philadelphia-based information-systems provider. Features include material content management for parts and products; automatic compliance validation against any standard; data source independent for parts and products; and a J2EE compliant Web application.
