McClenahen With its mission made even more serious by the events of Sept. 11, the Commission on the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry is scheduled to hold its first public meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Created by Congress, the panel is supposed to identify challenges facing the industry in the 21st Century. The 12-person commission includes Robert J. Stevens, president and COO of Lockheed Martin Corp.; Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, president of Starcraft Enterprises and former astronaut; John W. Douglass, president, CEO and general manager of the Aerospace Industries Assn.; and Edward M. Bolen, president and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers Assn.
