According to insights from the sixth session of the Grant Thornton Business Leaders Council, midsize businesses are preparing for growth by streamlining processes. The council, composed of 38 business owners and senior executives, meets twice a year to discuss and identify issues affecting the growth and profitability of midsize businesses. To prepare for growth, these businesses are focusing on needs-based selling, product innovation and customization; marketing and branding; helping customers achieve goals; and responding better to customer expectations.
