ERP Application Ensures Baby-Food Quality

Compiled ByTraci Purdum Beech-Nut Nutrition Corp., the second-largest manufacturer of baby food in the U.S., has licensed iRenaissance ERP, an Internet-enabled ERP and management solution from Atlanta-based Ross Systems Inc. "We chose the Ross iRenaissance system for its strong capabilities in quality control, manufacturing, and management reporting," says Ed Roe, director of information systems at St. Louis-based Milnot Corp. -- the parent company of Beech-Nut. "We require that our manufacturing and quality control process be completely integrated, taking into account food ingredients, equipment maintenance, and other factors that ensure 100% product quality." iRenaissance offers users applications for financials, manufacturing, advanced planning, supply-chain management, maintenance management, transportation management, and materials management. Other Ross customers include Boar's Head, Litehouse Foods, Tetley Tea, and Michael Angelo's Gourmet Foods.
