Logility Adds Application To Optimize Sourcing, Extend Visibility

Compiled ByJill Jusko Software solutions provider Logility Inc. introduces Voyager Global Sourcing Management to its Voyager Solutions suite of collaborative supply-chain products. The Atlanta-based company says the new application will optimize sourcing decisions and extend visibility to offshore production. The product is aimed at retailers and manufacturers of private-label and branded merchandise. Included in Voyager Global Sourcing Management are the following:

Value Chain Designer, which offers visibility into supply-chain networks to help analyze capital expenditure plans, assess risk strategies and evaluate sourcing options;

Global Sourcing, which automates the sourcing process from proposal management and supplier bid analysis to supplier performance management -- all via the Internet;

Production Visibility, which uses collaborate time and action calendars to monitor supplier production and quality, and provide exception-based management; and

Supplier Logistics, which tracks supplier shipments. Logility is a subsidiary of American Software Inc.
