Taiwan's sixth annual Gold National Award of Excellence winners were recently announced. Winners and their products were: Garmin Corp., for an aviation global positioning system; Acer Netxus Inc., for a 155M digital loop carrier; Mustek Systems Inc., for a video digital camera; Advantech Co. Ltd., for a super slim panel PC; and Thunder Tiger, for a micro turbojet engine.
The 27 products competing for the award were judged on quality, product design, innovation, market position, and brand awareness. The awards program is sponsored by the China External Trade Development Council, a non-profit organization that helps Taiwan's manufacturers compete in world markets.
