Motorola Inc. has concluded that management needs to do a better job in order to retain employees. The conclusion came after surveying a group of employees four months after they left the semiconductor giant. More than 40% pointed to a lack of fulfillment in their jobs as the reason for leaving. Specifically, 17% cited better career opportunities elsewhere, 9% pointed to a lack of recognition, 8% cited the type of work, and 7% left for more of a challenge in their work.
