Compiled ByDeborah Austin When struggling with supply-chain issues, managers often look to fix the supplier side. But, "the problem may be inaccurate demand forecasts from their customers," says Daren Dance, vice president, technology for business decisions company Wright Williams & Kelly (WWK), Pleasanton, Calif. To help analyze internal consequences of such external events, WWK has released a white paper on Critical Path Supply Chain Analysis -- a methodology that identifies the supply chains with the highest potential to interrupt manufacturing, then explores those risks, giving foundation for a corrective solution. The white paper analyzes each stage of a semiconductor supply chain with cost, yield, variability and cycle time, including transportation and handling to the next stage.
