Compiled ByJohn S. McClenahen The Norwalk, Conn.-based Financial Accounting Standards Board is extending until Oct. 5 the comment period on a proposal that could result in manufacturers and other companies having to report ratios and other metrics in their financial statements. Indications are that if the FASB decides to go ahead with the project, newly mandated data will be limited, however, most likely focusing on just a few line items, subtotals, and totals. Project details are available in PDF format at accounting.rutgers.edu/raw/fasb/project/performance.pdf.
