Compiled ByDeborah Austin CarrierPoint Inc., an Atlanta-based logistics software provider, has extended its "cradle-to-grave" transportation technology offering for shippers with two new solution modules. They are:
- AutoRate -- Combined with CarrierPoint's WebDispatch and DSM (Dynamic Shipping Marketplace) products, AutoRate provides a platform to support and guarantee carrier contract compliance, and automates the dispatch process. Shipments are automatically offered to carriers in least-cost order according to service-based routing guides. Shippers can expand options from private contractors/core carriers through public searches until the load is covered.
- eRFQ -- eRFQ is a Web-based request-for-quote tool. It lets users define RFQ response rules and design approval processes, presenting response analysis and lane bid/contract information. Integrated with CarrierPoint's execution tools, eRFQ automatically updates the rating engine and enforces compliance with automated rating and tendering business rules.
