China Online, at www.chinaonline.com is a subscription news service that takes information from more than 40 news sources in the People's Republic of China, and adds perspectives from more than 300 analysts in China and the U.S.

An introductory package, available free on a three-week trial basis, includes general business events, as well as special sections on the banking/insurance, consumer goods, information technology/telecommunications, and automotive sectors.

China Online also offers a breaking-news section, national news, and general business reports updated daily; a calendar of major events in China; key statistics on the Chinese economy; and weather reports from five major cities. Custom research also can be commissioned.

In the future, the site will add:

  • A selection of industry white papers.
  • Chinese financial indices including a consumer price market basket and currency rates.
