Compiled ByJill Jusko Austin, Texas-based Fortigo Inc. has released Fortigo 2.0, a logistics management software designed to improve relationships between companies and their transportation carriers. It does so, says the software provider, via powerful visibility and exception-management tools and automated auditing and reporting capabilities. Highlights of the release include:
  • Carrier-neutral support for parcel carriers Airborne Express, Fedex Corp. and United Parcel Service, as well as a variety of truckload and less-than-truckload carriers.
  • Role-based security to provide logistics information based on relevance to each role.
  • Automated logistics auditing that measures carrier performance against contract service-level guarantees.
  • Tools to automate and speed the exception recovery process.
"Carriers are often the only direct contact our enterprise customers have with their end customers," says Fortigo President George Kontoravdis. "Providing vigorous tools to improve efficiencies on both sides of the relationship and then accurately measuring performance keeps everyone focused on results . . . ."
