Compiled ByDeborah Austin Lilly Software Associates, Hampton, N.H., and Unisyn Software, Los Angeles, are partnering to help Lilly customers streamline routine operations. Through the agreement, Lilly -- which provides enterprise and supply-chain-management solutions for manufacturers and distributors -- will offer customers integration of Unisyn's AutoMate applications into Lilly's VISUAL Manufacturing systems. AutoMate enables users to program their PC, server, or network -- without coding -- to automatically perform routine tasks. VISUAL products help companies capture real-time data about their business processes using enterprise resource planning, warehouse management system and transportation management system capabilities, among others. Several VISUAL users already had incorporated AutoMate to eliminate repetitive tasks such as material planning and scheduling, says Scott Rich, vice president of marketing, Lilly.
