Avon Chooses CubeCentral For Airfreight Management

Avon Products Inc. has selected a software and service package from Acuitive Solutions LLC to support its airfreight management initiatives. CubeCentral is a hosted airfreight management solution designed to give shippers greater control over airfreight shipments. Its modular solution is designed for flexibility and scalability. Components include:

• RateManager -- This allows users to compare the fully applied costs for multiple service options and forwarders simultaneously.
• CubeManager -- This module shows the unit cost basis of packing configuration options.
• ApprovalManager -- This collaborative tool incorporates business processes and rules to manage the approval of requests to expedite.

Andy Topp, Avon senior manager of logistics, said the company selected CubeCentral during a reevaluation by its logistics program of "what, how and why we do what we do." The product, he says, has helped Avon "to make good disciplined business decisions when we are considering expediting a shipment from ocean or ground to airfreight." Acuitive Solutions, based in Charlotte, N.C., introduced its CubeCentral solution in August.
