The Machine Tool Group of Cincinnati Milacron Inc. will be recognized for its innovative product development process, known as Wolfpack, at an awards ceremony Oct. 6. The Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) has named the precision machine tool manufacturer its 1998 PDMA Outstanding Corporate Innovator. PDMA President Paul Belliveau says that the award recognizes sustained excellence in a series of new products that result in significant company growth. John J. Moran, chairman of the award committee, says Cincinnati Milacron's approach to new product development is based on four key elements:

  • The product development process is continually improved.
  • Process discipline is enforced.
  • Approved projects get the necessary support.
  • The Wolfpack process energizes the entire organization.
The award will be given at PDMA's 1998 International Conference at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta. The conference will be Oct. 3-7.
