Compiled ByTravis Hessman BAX Global Inc., an Irvine Calif.-based transportation and supply-chain management company, won contracts with Airbus Industrie and Air France, making five major aeronautical deals for the company in 12 months. Beginning June 1, the Airbus contract will require BAX to handle management of half of the import and export of spare parts, part kits, and repair parts for the aircraft manufacturer. The two companies also are designing a custom IT inventory management and online tracking and tracing system to handle the expected 2,000 to 3,000 shipments per month. The Air France agreement requires BAX to manage a substantial part of the airlines aeronautical materials. BAX also has contracts with British Airways, GE Engine Services, Air New Zealand Engineering Services, US Airways, British Aerospace, Rolls Royce, and Sikorsky Aircraft Corp.
