ByJohn S. McClenahen The answer is yes when the issue is the U.S. investment climate, according to the latest Investor Optimism Index from UBS Investment Research, New York. Some 41% of investors responding to UBS said that Republican President George W. Bush's re-election on Nov. 2 would be very positive or somewhat positive for the investment climate in the United States. Only a slightly lower 36% said that a White House win by Democrat Sen. John F. Kerry would very positive or somewhat positive for the investment climate. About 20% of those surveyed said, relative to the U.S. investment climate, it does not matter who wins the presidency.
