The chemical industry will remember 1997 as a growth year, and members of the Chemical Manufacturers Association (CMA) predict more increases next year. Chemical exports grew by 12.5% this year, according to the CMA, and sales grew by 6.1% to $395.5 billion, an increase from 1996s $372.4 billion. CMA members predict another 6.0% increase in revenues for 1998.
