Houston-based ChemCross, an industry-owned global chemical trading Internet portal, has added 18 Asian chemical companies to its supply-chain network. Hyundai Oil Refining Co. Ltd., a leading oil and exploration company in Korea, is one of the participating companies expected to benefit from the partnership through instant access to the Asian chemical community. Other participating companies include: Winsway Enterprises Ltd., Asahi Chemical Ind. Co. Ltd., SK Corp., and Grace T.H.W. Group. "The ChemCross infrastructure supports a wide array of supply-chain information and opportunities to network with key chemical companies," says Kyeongho Ha, director of marketing and management for Hyundai. "This, in itself, will promote improved efficiency and reduced costs for our organization." Forty-nine major Asian chemical companies with total sales of more than $60 billion now support the ChemCross supply-chain network.
