The President's Council on Sustainable Development and the Global Environment & Technology Foundation are sponsoring the National Town Meeting for a Sustainable America on May 2-5. The event, which is expected to draw 3,000 attendees, will be held at the COBO Convention Center in Detroit. The meeting will highlight the work of communities, businesses, and individuals who are offering new solutions to help America grow in a sustainable way. The event will include an exhibit hall, a national roundtable discussion for leaders in business and government, and interactive learning sessions. A National Awards for Sustainability Program will be held at the Henry Ford Museum. Those unable to attend will be able to participate via satellite links and the Internet.
