The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), will present a two-day seminar, "Achieving Value-Add Through Supply Alliances," in Atlanta Feb. 24-25, 2005. Suggested attendees are supply management professionals who are looking to develop more effective supply relationships, according to Tempe, Ariz.-based ISM. Alliance plan development will receive focused attention. Among the lessons attendees will learn are: understanding the scope and structure of strategic relationships; how to evaluate a relationship for alliance potential; how to incorporate a supplier alliance into your organization; and how to negotiate and manage alliance relationships. Attendees can earn 14 continuing education hours. ISM suggests that seminar participants bring specific supplier scenarios to address during the event.
