Economists, corporate leaders, and visionaries will gather in New York next week to explore the theme "Managing Globalization and The New Economy" at the Foreign Policy Assn.'s (FPA) World Leadership Forum 2000. Expected speakers include Anthony Giddens, director of the London School of Economics; John Howard, prime minister of Australia; Lucien Bouchard, Premier of Quebec; and Yoshiro Mori, Prime Minister of Japan. The meeting, from Sept. 6-8 at the Pierre Hotel, will cover topics including global economic outlook, anticipating financial crisis, new directions in world trade, globalization success stories, globalization and managing the new economy, e-business revolution, and new leadership skills of the future.
