Group To Promote Use Of Steel In Homes

Efforts to expand the use of steel framing in residential construction continue with formation of the Residential Steel Partnership (RSP). Donald R. Moody has been appointed president; his term begins July 1. RSP is an outgrowth of the American Iron and Steel Institute's Residential Construction program, which has been underway since 1992. Its objectives have included building long-term relationships with home builders and educating them about the potential of steel-framed housing. RSP will intensify that program's efforts.
