HP Integrates Nashville Operations At New Hub

Hewlett-Packard Co. and business partners Celestica and IEC plan to create a world-class supply-chain operation, expanding HP's North American manufacturing, distribution, and returns processing activities just outside Nashville. This new HP hub -- in Ozburn-Hessey's Mid-South Logistec Center in Rutherford County, Tenn. -- will handle manufacturing and distribution for HP business PCs, HP NetServer systems, and certain HP information storage products. It will produce HP custom-configured computing solutions, and solutions for other manufacturers. With its central geographic location, the new center is slated to allow faster order processing and product delivery in North America. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Hewlett-Packard had $42.4 billion in total revenue from continuing operations in 1999.
