By Agence France-Presse Sentiment among U.S. consumers fell in July, down 4.3 points to 88.1, from 92.4 in June, according to a survey released July 26 by the University of Michigan. The university's key confidence index was higher than the preliminary reading of 86.5, and higher than the 86.3 reading traders had expected in the barometer, which is released only to subscribers.
