Compiled ByDeborah Austin Logistics professionals anywhere now can take courses at The Logistics Institute (TLI) at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, through its new Logistics Management e-Series. The computer-based and online professional education programs -- developed by logistics educator Edward H. Frazelle, TLI founding director -- are enhanced versions of short courses offered at TLI's campus. Each e-course will include learning materials, multimedia presentations, Web links, video clips, textbook chapters, exams, diagnostics tools, decision support tools and case studies. Single-user or corporate licenses may be purchased. The first available e-course -- now offered via compact-disc package -- is World-Class Warehousing and Material Handling. The remaining three courses -- World-Class Inventory Management, World-Class Logistics and Supply Chain Strategy, and World-Class Transportation and Distribution -- will be available within the next several months.
