Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tenn., is seeking proposals from U.S. manufacturing plant sites for plant-wide assessments that will lead to substantial improvements in industrial energy efficiency, waste reduction, productivity, and global competitiveness. The goal of an assessment is to develop a comprehensive strategy that will significantly increase plant energy efficiency and reduce environmental emissions. Funding of up to $75,000 is available, with a 50% cost sharing from the company. Multiple awards will be given this year and in 2000.
