With the pending addition of Oracle Flow Manufacturing, Oracle Corp. will offer industry a full range of manufacturing software applications, including Assemble To Order, Engineer to Order, and Process and Flow. Companies can now select from these modules, effectively using mixed-mode operation to fit their manufacturing processes.
Oracle Flow Manufacturing, which will be available this spring with the Oracle Applications Release 11, features line design and balancing, Kanban planning, and mixed-model production execution. "We have been working closely with Oracle to identify and design the technology necessary to create a complete flow manufacturing solution and are looking forward to continuing development of this solution by Oracle," says Bill Muir, vice president of manufacturing technologies at Eaton Corp.
