During the month of February, employers with 11 or more employees must post a summary of job-related illnesses or injuries that occurred during 1997. Employers with fewer than 10 employees and most industry groups in retail trade, finance, insurance and real estate, and service industries are exempt from the OSHA posting requirements. All employers covered by OSHA must display the OSHA poster and comply with applicable health and safety standards. Copies of the record-keeping form and the poster are available at local OSHA offices or call OSHA at 212/219-4667.
