Rockwell Collins Inc. and BF Goodrich Aerospace are entering in an agreement to better serve airlines. Collectively, they plan to provide a broad range of equipment parts and maintenance services -- including global "single stop solutions" for avionics, instrumentation, and other aircraft components. Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Rockwell Collins' brings to the alliance avionics and in-flight entertainment expertise including new and used parts maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO); avionics integration; and a global service network. Charlotte, N.C.-based BF Goodrich Aerospace's contributions include strengths in avionics and airframe components MRO, and knowledge as an OEM of related products. The alliance already is working on several customer opportunities, says Terry Davidson, vice president for BF Goodrich's World Aviation Services, a recently launched customer-focused solution program.
