Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation has announced a strategic alliance with Systems America Inc., San Jose, an e-business solutions and ERP implementation service provider, to develop a set of products that will link plant level applications directly to ERP such as SAP R/3. Through the alliance, customers will get access to expert integration capabilities for linking SAP R/3 manufacturing and production modules to Rockwell Automation Manufacturing BusinessWare solutions. ERP systems will be fully supported by Systems America's e-innovation centers worldwide. The combined offering will give customers the benefit of reduced system integration time and reduced cost while increasing process efficiency and safeguarding current ERP and manufacturing systems investments, according to the companies.
