Ross Systems Launches Package for Process Manufacturers

By Doug Bartholomew A customer self-service portal, online forecasting and vendor-managed inventory, Web-based travel and expense reporting, and Internet-based available-to-promise functionality are just a few of the capabilities of the latest edition of e-business software from Ross Systems. Called Resynt, the new software suite is aimed at process industries, including food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, paper, and metals. The package spans procurement, sales, collaboration, and human resources. The new package can stand alone, or be integrated with existing Ross Systems' Internet-enabled iRenaissance software or Renaissance Classic financial applications, or with other ERP systems. "Our new Resynt products will help our customers use the power of the Internet in their businesses in a meaningful way and interact with prospects, customers, suppliers, trading exchanges, and employees," says J. Patrick Tinley, CEO and president of Ross Systems. In June, Tinley was named president and CEO of Ross Systems, succeeding Dennis Vohs, who retired from those roles but who continues as chairman.
