Strategies to optimize the lean supply chain will be the focus of the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) March 11-12 seminar in Las Vegas. The course, "Cost-Effective Supply Chain Management," will help attendees identify key competencies and weaknesses across their supply chain; discuss and apply the principles of lean thinking; develop sourcing and contracting strategies; streamline the make-versus-buy decision; and develop methods for measuring supply-chain performance for continuous improvement. The seminar includes interactive exercises to help purchasing professionals learn how to eliminate waste from a global supply chain. Attendees will earn 14 continuing education hours.
