Chloupek According to a report from Venture Development Corp., the market for wireless monitoring and control applications in North America is expected to increase more than six-fold between 2001 and 2006, growing from total shipments of $109 million in 2001 to $752 million in 2006. The growth is expected in tank level monitoring; material handling monitoring and control; and programming, maintenance and repair. The share of the market currently devoted to remote crane/hoist controls is expected to decline from 20% to 4% due to the current widespread use of these applications.
