Companies using System Software Associates' (SSA) BPCS ERP system will be able to do business across borders more easily as a result of a joint agreement announced Aug. 2 between SSA and International Software Marketing (ISM), a maker of international trade logistics software. Under the arrangement, ISM's SPEX and WT/3 systems that ensure export compliance will be integrated with the widely used BPCS system from SSA, based in Chicago. The ISM trade management software is used by manufacturing companies to automate a host of international trade functions. These include quotations, export documentation processing, packaging management, order consolidation, printing and faxing, and database management.
