Singapore plays host to the Supply-Chain World -- South East Asia Conference & Exposition on May 4-5. Titled "Boosting Time to Market with Supply Chain," the event's preliminary program includes sessions of radio frequency identification, demand-driven manufacturing and best practices to achieve supply-chain excellence. Speakers include Alfred Au Yong, senior customer solutions manager, operations and technology divisions, SembCorp. Logistics Ltd. (he is also the event chair); Mark Wettasinghe, general manager, efulfillment, Venture Corp. Ltd.; and Owen Keates, chair, Supply Chain Council-Australia/New Zealand and global supply chain director, Competitive Capabilities International. The Supply-Chain Council -- South East Asia is organizing the event. The Supply-Chain Council is a global, not-for-profit trade association that sponsors and supports educational programs and development of the Supply-Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR), the process reference model designed to improve users' efficiency and productivity.
