Sustainable Business Conference Explores Growth

The Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) will hold its annual conference on Mar. 27-28 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore. The theme of the event will be, "Environment and Business, Sustaining Growth for the 21st Century." Featured speakers will include: C.T. Wright, executive director of the International Foundation for Education and Self Help; and Amory Lovins, coauthor of Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution. "This conference presents an excellent opportunity to listen and learn from environmental leaders around the world, participate in workshops that focus on GEMI's leading-edge activities, and discuss issues relating to future trends for environment, business, and sustainable growth," says Jim Thomas, conference chairman and executive director, environment, health, and safety, Novartis Corp.
