One of the most complex scheduling issues facing the automotive industry could have a solution in a new software package offered by System Software Associates Inc.(SSA).

Designed to help automakers respond to growing demand for custom vehicles, SSAs Sequence synchronizes the systems of vehicle assemblers and suppliers to deliver the right part when and where its needed. The software not only tracks all messages between suppliers and assemblers, but it also monitors the status of each component and its delivery requirements.

The Sequence announcement follows SSAs recent release of a pair of automotive-oriented packages, BPCS Client/Server version 6 for automotive, and a similar package for the aftermarket industry.
