Whirlpool Picks Noosh Procurement Solution

Compiled ByTraci Purdum Noosh Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based provider of e-Business software, will provide its collaborative procurement solution to Whirlpool Corp. Noosh will enable the Benton Harbor, Mich.-based maker of home appliances to manage complex procurement projects requiring collaborative interaction among many trading partners. The application also will help Whirlpool capture information about aggregated spending and workflow processes to help make more informed buying and management decisions. "Our deployment [of Noosh's software] is moving along rapidly and we see many opportunities to expand our usage of Noosh in other areas of the company," says Linda Ludwig, Whirlpool's manager of creative and publishing services. According to Noosh, its customers have cut process costs and cycle times in half and have reduced spending by 20%.
