Crowdsourced careers/salary site Glassdoor.com brings us yet another example of using the social web to source a diverse set of viewpoints, this time with more than 280,000 participating in ranking leaders of major companies.

According to Glassdoor, "the list is based entirely on feedback from employees who were asked one simple survey question: Do you approve of the way your CEO is leading the company?"

Tops in the category was Apple, which is not surprising until you see that the new CEO, Tim Cook, actually received a higher rating than the incomparable, inimitable, in- everything Steve Jobs (97 to 95%, respectively). An example of rallying around the new guy?

Other iconic manufacturers on the list were QUALCOMM (3), P&G (18), GE (21), HP (24) and Lockheed Martin (25). Congrats to all for earning the love of the crowd.
