Campari, one of the world’s largest spirits providers, sought to upgrade and expand the Wild Turkey operations located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, after acquiring the iconic bourbon brand in 2009. In addition to building a new distillery, the company wanted to move the bourbon’s processing and bottling operations on-site. Campari built a new 144,000-square-foot facility that included nearly 40 tanks and three high-speed automated bottling lines. By implementing a PlantPAx process automation system from Rockwell Automation, the company has increased OEE by more than 50 percent, increased time-to-market, and reduced its cost per case.
