Toyota (IW 1000/234) plans to expand its Huntsville engine production facility, investing an additional $80 million and adding at least 125 new jobs.
The expansion will increase the annual V-6 engine capacity by 216,000 annually whichl will bring the plant's total engine production to more than 700,000 annually.
The increased production is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2014.
The expansion will bring total investment at Toyota's Alabama plant to more than $700 million and the total number of jobs to more than 1,150.
