German Economy Grows By 0.4%

The German economy, the biggest in the 12-country eurozone, expanded modestly in the first three months of the year, after stagnating in the fourth quarter of last year, official data showed on May 11.

German gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 0.4% in the period from January to March compared with the preceding three months, the federal statistics office, Destatis, calculated in preliminary data.
