Honda Plans Logistics Center in Poland

The center will serve Poland, three Baltic states and eastern Germany.

Honda on Feb. 12 said it would open a new logistics center and auto parts depot in western Poland for markets in Poland, three Baltic states and eastern Germany.

Honda Europe bought 56,000 square meters of land from a Roman Catholic parish in Pniewy, a Honda statement said.

The value of the project is estimated at 11 million euros (US$14 million). The new center is planned to have a surface area of 20,000 square meters, be open by April 2010 and have 40 employees.
