Leading Index For Australia Unchanged

The Conference Board's index of leading economic indicators for Australia was unchanged in February, the most recent month for which data are available. The index, which remains at 160.4 (1990=100), increased two-tenths of a percentage point in January.

Australia's inflation-adjusted economic growth rate has slowed some in recent months, and the "behavior of the leading index in recent months suggests that moderate growth should continue in the near term," says the Conference Board, a New York-based business research group.
