The Russian economy grew 6.2% in the first nine months of 2005 compared to the same period a year ago, the Russian statistics service said Dec. 16. Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has revised upwards his forecast for full-year gross domestic product growth to 6.2% from an earlier forecast of 6.0%. The government is forecasting GDP growth of between 5.9%-6% for the full year, lower than the restated 7.2% growth seen in 2004.
