Tata Consultancy Services, based in India, announced that it is one of Microsoft's first solution partners to develop Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solutions built on the forthcoming Microsoft Office Project 2007 platform.

The TCS-Microsoft EPM Solutions addresses enterprise project planning, definition, execution, management, measurement and tracking.

Commenting on TCS' successful implementation of Microsoft Office Project Server (MSPS), Terry Wong of The City of Calgary stated, "After just over six months, the project succeeded in configuring MSPS to reflect The City's IT business unit organization and its 29 client business units, its 500+ IT staff and contractor resource pool, the dozens of project management methodologies and work management processes, plus critical portfolio tracking indicators."

The TCS-Microsoft EPM Solutions include the Tata SigmaX which maps the EPM platform to the Six Sigma quality management methodology.

Another solution, the Project Portfolio Management, can quantitatively assess and rank potential projects based on corporate strategy and set expectations.
