Tesla (IW 500/384) founder Elon Musk can now add voice actor next to inventor, entrepreneurOK and billionaire on his résumé.
He was the guest star on The Simpsons Sunday night in the episode, “The Musk Who Fell to Earth.”
And unlike most celebrities who appear on the show, Musk’s role wasn’t just a cameo, he anchored the entire episode.
After crash landing his spacecraft in the Simpson’s Springfield backyard, he meets up with Homer.
The two talk and it turns out Homer’s ramblings are just what Musk needs to cure his inventor’s block.
Musk would go on to meet Montgomery Burns, the filthy rich, diabolical owner of the town’s nuclear power plant, who is drawn to him because of their completely different way of thinking.
The pair would partner to develop a more modern Springfield completely run by electricity.
But when Burns finds out the deal will lose $50 million a quarter, something Musk is good with, Burn sets out to kill him.
Musk tweeted throughout the broadcast.
Simpsons head writer, Al Jean, said Musk was a good sport and open to taking shots at himself, even when they showed some of the downfalls and sacrifices necessary in a rechargeable world.
Now that the episode has aired, Musk may want to consider changing the password to start his electric car.
Bart guessed it on the first try: “MUSKRULZ.”
